Great Place Year Round
We stayed for two nights for a weekend long bachelor party. The place was very clean and comfortably slept 21 full grown guys.
The property is huge, and when the weather didn’t cooperate it didn’t matter because the house itself is so big, and of course the pool. The big screen tv in the pool room helped as well.
Frank was a great host and would always respond within the hour to any question we had in the run up to the visit. The house had everything we need, towels for everyone, bedding dishes glasses, and three, maybe four, very large refrigerators. Two BBQ’s and 2 ovens which were all put to very good use. Everyone was very impressed and I think a lot will be looking for a reason to book the house in the future. Also the beer store is only a 12 -15 minute drive away for when you run out of beer.

Clean, spacious and well taken care of Cottage – Loved it
We had a family get together in Aug and booked this cottage for 3 nights. It is about 5 hours drive from Toronto (Much closer to Ottawa and Montreal – within 2 hours drive from both locations) but I must say that it was worth driving all the way for.
It is located very close to Hwy 401 but far enough to make it feel like a cottage in a very quiet neighborhood.
It has large and well-taken care off, front and backyard in addition to a long driveway (enough to park 10 cars). It has a great beach volleyball area (didn’t end up using it) plus a play area for younger kids (they loved the model ship in the play area).
The cottage is designed to accommodate 20 -30 people with enough space to have all sit at the dinner table and enjoy a family meal. Rooms are very clean and there is more than enough storage and fridge space (3 fridges), icemaker, coffee maker etc.
In terms of entertainment, this cottage came with few 50 inch plus TV’s and game consoles etc. plus a pool table, tennis table and a lot of toys for kids to keep them entertained. I can safely say that this is the best-kept and managed cottage we have rented in the last 5-7 years.
Now for the best part, as mentioned in the advertisement, it has a large pool with a hot tub and tons of life jackets. We spent more than half our awake time in the pool (other half was eating enough to reenergize for next pool trip)
Frank (owner) is a super nice guy and very responsive. He visited every day to check the pool water to make sure it was safe for us to swim.

When I initially saw the listing, I was a little scared to make the reservation as it looked like too good to be true but we are glad that we went ahead. One of the best family gathering we had in the last few years and the reason is the way this cottage kept us all together at one place rather than different groups running in different directions to keep them entertained.
The only negative comment which I got from few in the group was that there are more than enough bunk beds to accommodate all but few more rooms will be a nice addition to this wonderful cottage.
Great place for a reunion
We absolutely loved our weekend at Frank’s cottage. There was over 40 of us and we had more than enough space. Huge kitchen table was amazing for feeding all the kids at once and ample fridge space for everyone’s food and drinks. Pool, hot tub and volleyball court provided hours of entertainment for the kids and adults. Bunks are very sturdy and all have nice mattresses so they are comfortable for adults too.
We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back!
Frank was an excellent host, greeting us when we arrived and showing us how everything worked and coming back subsequent days to make sure pool was nice and clean.

Awesome place! You said that this place is unique in Canada. We certainly believe it as nowhere else would have been suitable for our Mom’s surprise retirement party. Thanks for giving us a place to celebrate this special moment in our Mom’s life. Hopefully we will come up with another excuse soon to head out to “Murphy’s Retreat”. Au Revoir!

Another Great Stay
Another great stay at this fantastic place! We visited with adults and 13 kids and it couldn’t have been better. The new bunk beds downstairs are great the kids loved them. Pool was fantastic as always and house clean as can be. Thanks again Frank!

Summer ’16
My friends and I stayed at Frank’s home for 3 days and 2 nights. We had a large group of 28 people, and we did not have any problem with the sleeping areas. It was not hard to find the home, and it was close enough to the highway. We truly enjoyed the home especially the large indoor pool, the volleyball area, and the large dining area. The home felt very welcoming and cozy. One of our friends have said that she felt at home as soon as she saw the sandy volleyball court. None of us were bored as there were so many activities that we could do in one place.
Also, Frank is very courteous and responds fast on e-mails. I really appreciate his effort for making our stay at his home very enjoyable and fun. We are looking forward to our next years stay at Frank’s home again.
Amazing property with plenty of space and activities.
Frank is a great guy who is genuine and laid-back. He allowed us to check in early and stay later than planned and helped us out with any thing to do with the house. It was a pleasure to have met him and stayed at his retreat. Definitely a great place for any occasion.

The cottage had plenty of “built-in” activities and our 14 kids aged 2 to 13 were in awe. The skating rink, the outdoor ship and the tubing were so fun. The indoor pool was the cherry on the Sunday.
Our kids never complained!
Instructions for everything were clearly put. It is definitively a go to place in the near future.
Second time and it was just as amazing as the first!
This place is truly amazing. It was the second time our friends have stayed here and it has always been a hit. Except for a few grocery runs we never had to leave the house. The kitchen is completely stocked, the pool was loved by everyone and we managed to go tobogganing and play a brief ice hockey game before the freezing weather got the best of us. Would highly recommend it if you are looking for a place to accommodate your large group.
Great Service
The cottage had everything we needed. Came fully stocked with all the knickknacks which saves a ton of packing space. Frank was great, he responded within an hour of all our emails and had everything setup for our group of 18. Loads of space and the hockey rink and pool were great for activities.
Superb 5 stars cottage!
We spent the New Year’s long weekend in this amazing cottage. It is truly a family paradise. There is something for everyone to do. The pool, tobogganing hill, huge dining room, great basement, professional barbecue grills, everything is fully equipped and ready for big families or group of friends to enjoy the stay. The owner is great guy. Highly recommended
It was great!!
We spent Christmas here and loved every minute of it. The kids loved going in the pool and we even got a little snow so they were able to Toboggan. The house is big enough space for everything, it is equipped with everything you would need. The owner is fantastic we would rent here again in a heart beat.
Beautiful retreat
I’ve been renting cottages during the summer months for 10 years with friends and family, and as our families have grown, we’ve needed larger and larger spaces. This year, we went with a group of 10 adults and 14 children (ages 2 months to 10 years), and this is the first year where there were no complaints at all.
With 14 kids, it’s easy to have them get bored, or cramped in small spaces, but that was not a problem at all. Frank provides toys for every age, and for every activity – sand toys, water toys, video games, kid’s movies, soccer balls and nets, volleyballs and net, footballs, frisbees, indoor toys, badminton sets, basketballs and a court, plasma-cars – the list goes on and on.
Plus the two main attractions, at least for our group – the fantastic indoor pool and hot tub, and the kid’s pirate ship play structure. Each of those provide hours and hours of entertainment, enjoyment, exercise.
Also, Frank provides more amenities inside the house than many other locations – paper towels, toilet paper, aluminum foil and plastic wrap, condiments, oil, vinegar, towels, blankets and pillows – we defininitely over-packed, and will be sure to bring less next time.

Amazing Facility!
The place was amazing. It is truly a family paradise. There is something for everyone to do. With 3 acres of stomping grounds, there is plenty of space even for the largest crowds.
It goes without saying the pool was awesome! Everyone from babies, kids to adults loved it. Regardless of the weather you are bound to have a great time.
Frank is an awesome guy. He gave us a tour on the first day, showed us where everything is and all the amenities that are available. He was always available if you needed anything. He was also was very laid back and gave us the freedom to enjoy the facility thoroughly.

Perfect ‘Home away from home’ for our Family Gathering
Our family group (from BC; Alberta; Ontario; Quebec), enjoyed this facility during the period 07/11/2014 through 07/17/2014.
Just to repeat our many thanks to you Frank, for providing a wonderful & relaxing place for all of us to hang our collective hats for a few days. We would highly recommend your site to friends & extended family members, should they be in need of a fun filled & laid back atmosphere. Hoping to return again (maybe in the winter next time)….
Perfect for Company Retreat
As a group of 16, there was plenty of space for all of us! Sleeping accomodations were very comfortable. Though the kitchen is relatively small, it worked well for our group as we had a rotating schedule for cooking and cleaning. It’s in a great location – far enough out of Cornwall that it still felt like a getaway, but close enough that we could pop back into town to pick up groceries or supplies as necessary. Frank was very accommodating and a great host. We will definitely return!
